Perten Instruments acquires Newport Scientific
Stockholm Sweden, Sydney Australia. 6th August 2007
Perten Instruments AB of Stockholm Sweden announced today, that it has acquired the Australian based instrument manufacturer Newport Scientific Pty Ltd.
The Perten Instruments Group are specialists in quality control of Grain, Flour, Food and Feed. Their instrument range includes the Falling Number system, Inframatic and Diode Array near-infrared analyzers, the Glutomatic System, the Aquamatic grain moisture meter, laboratory mills and single kernel analyzers.
Under the terms of the acquisition, the Newport Scientific will continue to deliver its viscometry based instruments; the Rapid Visco Analyser range, and the doughLAB range, for food and grain testing, under the well known Newport Scientific brand. The Perten group will take control of much of the distribution through its network of independent and wholly owned subsidiaries.
